Recovered parts subsidise cost of Trib Total's tall order

Two Goss newspaper presses with towers of up to five units have been dismantled as part of a project for Trib Total Media.

Goss Universal 70 and Newsliner presses, auxiliary equipment and newsprint reels have been cleared by The Siebold Company after the Pittsburgh community publisher and promotional products company closed its Newsworks facility in Warrendale, moving production to Tarentum.

TTM executive director of production Keith Bertetto says TSC was the "obvious choice" for the project, and has commissioned them to replace press drives at the Tarentum single-width facility.

TSC vice president of corporate development Christopher Miles says with several towers configured as five-highs, rigging accommodated 45-foot heights. The company also provided project management services throughout the removal process.

Miles says TSC finds value in the used parts salvages from removed presses, enabling them to offer removal customers better value.
