Two former manroland Goss salesmen - one from each side of the business - have joined Goss Graphic Systems (China) to help build the Wisprint press brand.
Australia-based Matt Sharkady (left) becomes GGSC's global project director - and will build a team of project managers and technicians - while former manroland Goss vice president Nidal Odeh (right) returns to Germany to head up a new regional business unit as global business development and marketing director of Augsburg-based Wisprint Europe.
They join global sales director Peter Kirwan - also in Australia - who has been building the Wisprint brand for the past three years.
Sharkady's introduction to the industry came as a graduate engineer in Heidelberg Harris's R&D department in 1995. He moved to customer facing roles in order and service management, while completing an MBA from the University of New Hampshire, and then worked and lived in both Sydney and Singapore in project and support roles, relocating to Australia in 2006 as general manager of Goss International there until 2018.
Odeh joined manroland from an apprenticeship at BASF, and worked as a sales project manager and later key account manager, before switching to service in 2010, responsible for business development in Central and Eastern Europe. Responsibility for service management in the Middle East and later, India and Africa followed. He acted as managing director for manroland Web Systems China until the merger with Goss, when he headed the new and used press systems business unit.
Public relations for Wisprint is now being handled by another former Goss International executive, Eric Bell.
