After baring the follies of Australia's news publishers to delegates at this year's INMA World Congress, Melbourne academic Mark Ritson is set to face the local industry at the end of this year's Inform News Media Summit.
If to ‘want it all’ was a deadly sin, there were sinners aplenty to match the theme of New Zealand’s Pride in Print awards presentation in May.
As it was medals and commendations were shared between several web-offset print sites, with APN a standout. APN Print Christchurch, Hastings and Tauranga each took gold medals for coldset newspaper printing, APN Print Christchurch was honoured for coldset (other) and APN Print Manakau for heatset (more than 64 pages).
Other gold winners included Business Media Press (coldset newspapers), Horton Media (two medals for other coldset) and PMP Print Christchurch (heatset more than 64 pages).
Highly commended were entries from the APN sites at Ellerslie, Manakau (four awards) and Tauranga (two awards), as well as Horton Media (two awards), PMP Print Christchurch, and the Christchurch Press Company (two awards).
