'Day pass' option meets need of casual readers

A 'day pass' option has been added to Brainworks' paywall function.

The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina, has gone live with the feature (pictured) after working as initial development partner.

Brainworks says the expanded Day Pass functionality will allow media companies the flexibility of charging for their content on a daily basis while also providing non-subscribers the opportunity to consume editorial when convenient for the reader. The feature is in addition to Brainworks' paywall system and subscriber portal.

Director of circulation operations Cindy Bates says the facility will allow a newspaper's customers to access content via any device at their convenience.
