A 15-year relationship between Indian single-width press maker The Printers House and the QIPC-EAE partnership has been marked with a presentation.

Executives from both companies gathered for the presentation of a commemorative figure by the Dutch-German measurement and control systems specialist.

Managing director of QIPC-EAE India Vijay Pandya says TPH has always been a stalwart supporter in India: "At trade fairs, for example, they've allowed us to demonstrate our automation systems on their presses. What's more, they've always put in a good word for QIPC-EAE among their customers."

TPH chief executive L.K. Sharma says the "very special" working relationship started with QI Press Controls and was extended with their acquisition of EAE. "Our job was to build bridges between them and the needs of typical Indian customers.

"We have always tried to convince clients of the quality inspections they carry out, because we are convinced of their value too. In turn, QIPC-EAE always tries to meet the expectations of the client as well as constantly seek out new innovations."

Pandya says memorable projects with TPH have included an installation at National Media Group in Kuwait - TPH's largest-ever press order - as well as numerous installations at Lokmat Publications, and on a seven-tower TPH Orient 45000 at Amar Ujala. More recently the two have worked together at Deshabhimani - with systems on Orient 36000 and 50000 presses - and on a fully automated installation at Punch Nigeria.

"The key highlight for both of us has been our continued ability to provide reliable quality, while at the same time reducing operational costs for our clients," says Sharma. he says trust is an important basis for sustaining an intensive collaboration: "That trust is enshrined in a reliable product, optimum costs for the user and excellent after-service support. Furthermore, the constant quest for product improvements plays a vital role."
