Stick-on notes partners to get stuck in, globally

Ferag sister company WRH Marketing has launched a global programme of activities and awards to promote its MemoStick stick-on notes advertising concept.

The Swiss company – part of Ferag parent Walter Reist Holding – and its 24 worldwide subsidiaries plan to back the relaunched concept by helping publishers sell it to advertisers, and with campaign consulting and promotions.

It sells a range of machines for industrial application of the MemoStick labels, some of them integrated into Ferag’s mailroom systems.

WRH’s Bernhard Leicht says to establish it in print and crossmedia campaigns, the programme – with free membership for users – will be strongly marketing-oriented and equally accessible to the advertising industry and representatives of print media publishers.

“Members will be able to present and position themselves via various awards nationally and internationally, gain a variety of benefits, exchange ideas, form partnerships and launch regional, national or even international campaigns,” he says.

The Global MemoStick Alliance Programme will have an international executive committee with representatives from advertisers, agencies and publishers, plus advertising marketing and sales people, journalists, and a WRH Marketing representative .

Leicht  says the annual awards will cover:

• Design in various sectors of the advertising industry, such as transport, retail, services, events, leisure, and publishers' self-promotions;

• Campaigns that distinguish themselves especially by the creativity of the entire campaign, while also including other advertising formats, such as interaction with the medium itself or other print media, and cross-media creativity;

• Response awards based on an evaluation of their effectiveness and response rate.

A loyalty programme and regular international MemoStick events and sales training sessions are also planned.

Leicht says the global alliance programme will launch in early 2012. Individual components are still being developed and will be presented to the international advertising industry and publishers of newspapers and magazines as well as direct marketing companies.
