The Sunraysia Daily has revived print with a weekly edition, thanks to staff.
The Mildura, Victoria, publisher -which had earlier announced it was ceasing print production - announced on Thursday that it resume its Saturday edition during the coronavirus crisis.
Staff volunteered to keep producing one edition of the newspaper each week, after Elliott Newspaper Group recently stood down all of its employees and suspended print production.
Managing director Ross Lanyon said the move followed an "enormous community push" to revive a printed product.
"While we have a strong online presence with our revamped website, people still love their paper and are desperate for it back."
He said the company had registered for the federal government's Job Keeper Stimulus Package, announced by prime minister Scott Morrison on Monday.
