Former Harris IT guru gets top job at Heidelberg

Howard Hutchings, an American who joined Heidelberg with its Harris Web takeover and stayed after the web division’s sale to Goss International, has been appointed the German press maker’s chief information officer. Howard Hutchings, 56, takes up the new appointment in April. Following IT studies in New Hampshire, and jobs in print media and finance, he joined Harris Graphics to set up its expanding IT infrastructure. He moved to Germany after the Heidelberg takeover, responsible for developing the global IT infrastructure and Internet services. 

He takes over from Michael Neff who is leaving Heidelberg.
