Innovation Media’s Lucio Mesquita will open tomorrow’s first sessions of WAN-Ifra’s Digital Media India 2023 conference with insights from the firm’s annual report.
A senior consultant of the UK-based group, Mesquita will share ideas and best practice examples to help, grow and sustain the news publishing business.
The twelfth edition of Digital Media India is being held at the Holiday Inn, New Delhi International Airport tomorrow (March 16) and Friday, with more than 120 delegates from India and South Asia, and beyond expected.
Later, the chief executives of India's leading news media companies will discuss digital priorities and strategies for building sustainable and diversified media business. The discussion – dubbed ‘Where to bet our futures’ – is particularly relevant given the current state of the industry and the need for businesses to adapt and evolve in the face of constantly changing technology and consumer behaviour. Taking part are L V Navaneeth (The Hindu Group), Bharat Gupta (Jagran New Media), Mariam Mammen Mathew (Manorama Online) and Ritu Kapur (The Quint).

The conference programme is divided into two tracks – one to learn about the insights and opportunities to drive revenue in digital business, and the other to discuss technology driving the future of media business. These tracks discuss several ‘hot button’ issues including the role AI and ML play in the digital news business, using data analytics for business decision making, best practices in digital advertising, audience engagement, and digital subscriptions.
