As the printing systems vendor continues its growth into the data centre sector, technotrans has been honoured for its successful business transformation.

A new multi-million-Euro follow-up order confirms the increasing importance of thermal management for data centres as a growth driver, with technotrans to make further coolant distribution units for the Asian market.

technotrans SE chief executive Michael Finger says the data centre business is developing rapidly: “The follow-up order demonstrates that our thermal management expertise is winning over customers in this market of the future, with tripling of our data centre revenue in 2026 anticipated.”

Seen as “a role model of successful transformation”, technotrans has been honoured for its success in structural change in a German competition. Among the winners of the NRW – Wirtschaft im Wandel competition, it was picked for the medium-sized enterprises and corporations category. The award was presented by North Rhine-Westphalia’s minister for economic affairs Mona Neubaur at an awards gala in Düsseldorf.

The 12-person jury recognised technotrans’ “exemplary transformation” from supplier to the printing industry into a “globally active technology company focused on thermal management”.

Finger said the award recognises the transformation “driven forward with strategic clarity, technological expertise and great commitment”.

“The trust of our customers and the dedication of our employees have been crucial to this success. They deserve this recognition.”

technotrans now operates in four focus markets – energy management, healthcare & analytics, plastics and print.

The competition has been organised by Rheinische Post and General-Anzeiger Bonn since 2015, with nine companies in three business categories and two individuals honoured this year.
