New data chief Stefania Accardo will represent News Corp Australia on IAB Australia’s data council.
The new appointment sees Accardo appointed head of data technology capability for its client product and strategy division. News says she will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of News Corp Australia’s audience and data commercialisation products.
She leads a cross-functional team of business analysts, data scientists, and delivery managers to drive innovation, and partner with engineering delivery teams and external vendors.
Accardo will also focus on building new products to help customers plan, execute and measure ad campaigns effectively, while providing technical direction and guidance to onboard and monetise new audiences.
Commercial data video and product director Paul Blackburn said the role was “critical to evolving the company’s audience and data commercialisation products.”
He said central to the product offering was the audience insights and targeting platform ‘intent connect’, of which Accardo will “further enhance the product and develop our audience and data product roadmap, ensuring enhanced outcomes for clients and stakeholders”.
News says Accardo’s expertise extends to working with major multinational brands such as PepsiCo, Nestle, Microsoft, J&J, Bridgestone, Colgate Palmolive, Mastercard, Visa, Kellogg's, Mazda, Bacardi and Optus. Outside of the corporate world, she has been involved in data literacy projects and philanthropy, uncovering generational socio-cultural trends.
