A partnership with Smartico will see SCS users generate more digital advertising revenue by transforming print ads into fully packaged digital campaigns, using the company’s AI-powered Smart Ads platform.
The software will create carousel banners, landing pages and performance dashboards automatically from existing print ads.
The partnership comes, giving local advertisers affordable digital marketing solutions while helping newspapers increase CPMs and better demonstrate campaign value through engagement-focused analytics.
Bethlehem, PA, based SCS (Software Consulting Services) expanded its offering with new features including an enhanced classified order entry portal.

The updated Community Advertising System portal expands the order history screen, giving users improved visibility into previously submitted classified liners, obituaries and legal notices, as well as easier access to order details and status. Users can also re-open and edit ads directly within the portal.
Improvements to SCS/Track AI ad generation tool provide more professional, flexible and production-ready results. The system can now generate fully-editable PDF files with live text elements, with the process more prompt-driven and intuitive.
SCS says Garden City, New York-based Richner Communications has chosen CAS to streamline its advertising, production, and customer service workflows across its more than 70 community newspapers and related products.

SCS sales vice president Phil Curtolo described Richner as “one of the most innovative and forward-thinking organisations in the community newspaper industry”.
