What can news organisations learn from the US media market right now?
From October 19-23, WAN-Ifra’s US Newsrooms Study Tour will take an international group of media leaders inside news organisations across Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City.
On the ‘visit list’ are the Washington Post, Politico, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the New York Times, The Athletic, and the Wall Street Journal, among others.
Organisers promise an opportunity to explore how publishers are responding to some of journalism’s most pressing questions:
-how AI is changing editorial operations and decision-making?
-what does the next phase of video and visual storytelling look like?
-how are publishers building stronger communities?
-what models are emerging for sustainable local journalism?
-how are newsrooms approaching political coverage, trust and audience expectations?
-what can publishers learn about changing audience behaviour during major events such as the World Cup?
Programme details are still emerging, so check the website for details.
