Two European industry leaders share views about the future of news and media with KG Media chief executive Andy Budiman at the Asian Media Leaders Summit in Singapore next month.
Former chairman of ASEAN Newspaper Printers, Budiman (right) made the move from print production to digital, before being appointed to lead KG Media in Indonesia.
He is among prominent leaders in Singapore for the WAN-Ifra conference from October 26-27, an opportunity to gain insights on innovation, transformative leadership and their vision for shaping tomorrow’s media landscape.
Also speaking is Louis Dreyfus (left), president and chief executive of France’s Group Le Monde, and Xenia Daum (centre), chief executive of Kleine Zeitung in Austria.
Dreyfus will explain how investing in journalism, expanding newsroom coverage and doubling down on digital subscriptions turned a loss-making newspaper into a thriving reader-funded news brand with 600,000+ subscribers.

Daum takes you inside Austria’s largest regional news publisher to learn about its AI-powered personalisation strategy, proprietary recommendation engine, and to gain insights about how AI bots interact with premium journalism and what this means for the future of content distribution, monetisation, and publisher control.
As audiences fragment and advertising models evolve, Budiman will explore how publishers can stay ahead, responding to changing consumer behaviours, and platform disruption, and developing strategies that drive sustainable growth.
A masterclass, AI for audience insight and engagement, follows on October 28.
