ppi Media has named Matthias Fischer as its contact for India, a growing market in which it already numbers Jagran Prakashan, ABP Group and Bennett, Coleman & Co as clients.

With 20 years' experience in publishing and editorial solutions, Fischer (pictured) takes charge of the company's Indian team in October, working with country manager Hemant Kumar.

Managing director and chief executive Hauke Berndt described Fischer as "one of the most experienced experts I know" for publishing solutions and the Asian media landscape.

"He's the perfect contact for our customers in India."

He succeeds Thomas Müller-Lupp who is taking on a new challenge after 13 successful years as ppi's expert for the Indian market.
