Big Indian speaker contingent for DMI/Newsroom Summit

WAN-Ifra's Digital Media India/Newsroom Summit India event in Mumbai is approaching, from February 19-20.

The event at the Hyatt Regency is the first time the Newsroom Summit India has joined the programme, powered by World Editors Forum's India Chapter. Issues range from digital transformation, need vs want, social media impact on journalism, gender parity in newsroom, audience engagement and digital revenue models.

More than 50 leading editors and digital media practitioners are expected to attend, with confirmed speakers including Gaurav Sachdeva (Chief Product Officer, Singapore Press Holdings), Gadi Lahav (Head of Product, FT.com UK), Michael Cooke (former editor of Tornoto Star, Canada), Mukund Padmanabhan (Editor, The Hindu), Ravindra Kumar (Managing Director & Editor, The Statesman, Kolkata), Sonia Singh (Editorial Director, NDTV, India), Yatish Rajawat (Editor-in-Chief, DNA, India), R Jaganathan (Editorial Director, Swarajya, India), Patricia Mukhim (Editor, Shillong Times, India), Harsha Mathew (Asst. The event will be followed by two parallel workshops on February 21 covering Innovation in digital advertising strategy; and Building a newsroom culture.
