Opening of a new Flint Group technology centre in Shanghai advances tests, research and collaboration at the Shanghai Publishing and Printing College.

The facility allows continued expansion of technical support and services, and provides a state-of-the-art location for development, plate manufacturing, training, and education.

Flint Group technicians will cooperate with SPPC members in the 400 m2 space.

Global commercial vice president Friedrich von Rechteren said the ATC was an important milestone within Flint's global innovation network.

"SPPC in Shanghai is a strategic choice for our Technology Centre in Asia Pacific, where we are committed to grow."

Flexographic vice president for Asia Pacific Roy Schoettle (pictured) said Asia had "the confluence of large and fast-growing markets". One pillar of Flint Group's approach is creating global and regional innovation centres as they have in Malmö, Sweden; Lodz, Poland; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Stuttgart, Germany.
