Two Canadian publishers have signed with Roxen for production of their Metro editions.

TC Transcontinental in Montreal and Torstar subsidiary Free Daily News Group will both use Roxen’s browser-based editorial portal for their editions of Metro, the most read daily newspaper in Canada

The system facilitates communication between all involved in production, regardless of how far they are from the newsroom, TC editor in chief Erik Aussant says.

• Swedish community newspaper Umeå tidning has moved to the Roxen system after growing circulation.

The weekly paper first appeared in November 2012, and is now distributed to 68,000 households and companies in the northern Swedish city. Installation was completed within two weeks.
