A expanded newspaper plant in Indore for India’s Dainik Bhaskar Group teams high speed KBA press technology with Ferag mailroom, the first supplied by the Swiss maker.

The double-width Prisma 4/1 pressline comes from a 25-tower, seven folder order placed in late 2007. Three of the four lines have already been installed in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Jaipur

DB Corporation produces the seven newspapers of its parent group in 65 editions and 199 regional editions, with a daily print run totalling more than four million copies. Titles – including the flagship Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar and Gujarat regional Divya Bhaskar –are published in four languages and 13 Indian states.

The new KBA Prisma with a 546mm cut-off joins an existing Manugraph Hiline, while two displaced presses are expected to be relocated to Baroda and Jodhpur.

Ferag has installed a UTR Universal conveyor to take printed newspapers for bundling on MultiStack stackers.
