manrolandGoss has completed a complex press relocation for a publication printer in Barleben, north of Magdeburg in Germany.

An issue was adapting the 72-page Lithoman press to the limitations of the new Sattler Media pressroom… resolved by turning the folder and a reelstand at right-angles.

manrolandGoss also relocated prepress and postpress systems, and added its proprietary colour and cut-off register and ink density systems, introducing them to the Barleben site and integrating the press with existing production planning system.

Sattler operations manager Marc Holzapfel said the project has “significantly increased productivity and expanded capacity.

“Thanks to the professional collaboration, we were able to adapt the press precisely to our needs.”
