Goss to demo full Magnum Compact in Shanghai

Goss is set to demo its highly-automated Magnum Compact press next month, details of which it revealed last year.

Customers and prospects for the compact single-width press – which features automatic plate changing as part of a range of ‘big press’ sophistications – are being invited to one of two open days at the company’s Shanghai facility.

The programme includes company and product presentations, a demonstration of the Magnum Compact and factory tour, as well as a visit to another SEC facility. Guests are being invited for either March 17-18 or 20-21.

The much-anticipated demonstration of a complete press follows strong industry interest in a concept which promises many of the short-run benefits of digital newspaper printing in a familiar context and at potentially lower cost.

The press was launched at ChinaPrint and its auto plate changing feature was shown at several other shows including GraphExpo in the USA and WAN-Ifra’s World Publishing Expo in Berlin. GXpress broke details of the revolutionary new press in March after they were disclosed to members of Australia’s Single Width Users Group in Rockhampton.

Interested parties should contact their local Goss International office or agent for more details.
