Manugraph Americas has sold its first Indian-made M360 press into the US market.
Kentucky-headquartered Paxton Media Group will install the single-width press – comprising four towers and four mono units – at a new print site in High Point, North Carolina, where the company publishes the High Point Enterprise. It replaces a double-width Goss Metro in Durham, where it publishes the Herald-Sun. Key improvements are a shorter cutoff and the provision of automatic colour registration.
Paxton bought the Durham newspaper in 2004, and put its 23-year-old building on Pickett Road on the market last year.
The new 36,000 cph press – due to be commissioned in July – will increase paging flexibility, including the ability to have sections with different page counts.
