A newly-patented stacking technology is one of several innovations emerging from US manufacturer Vits International.

The patent has been granted for the Sprint Variable Data stacker/batcher and confirms the process it uses is unique.

Sales and marketing director Nick Gerovac says the stacker can be used in any situation where batch counted stacks need to be generated: “This is the first of several patents Vits has applied for covering innovations in stacking, register control and controlling multiple webs,” he says.

Vits International supplies sheeting and finishing systems for offset, newspaper, packaging and digital markets.

Gerovac says the company will be announcing another new order for the newspaper segment “in the next month or so”.
