Gask & Hawley, which has the UK’s first hybrid offset-and-multicolour inkjet Goss M-600, is adding QuadTech press controls to the press.
The register, ribbon and color control system includes the maker’s MultiCam technology managed through an ICON platform.
G&H uses the 16-page Goss heatset press – which has inline Kodak Prosper four-colour inkjet heads – for personalisation projects in its core print and mailing business, where it runs alongside sheetfed presses.
Managing director Dave Hatton says the company is always looking to improve the efficiency of its existing workflow and invest in new equipment and systems that integrate processes and maximise output accuracy.
The systems handle recovery from web-tension upsets, deliver closed-loop colour-to-colour register with circumferential and lateral control, and print-to-cut and print-to-fold register. The QuadTech colour control system automatically adjusts colour throughout the run.
Manchester-based G&H has a range of HP Indigo digital, Heidelberg sheetfed and Goss web offset equipment, supporting inhouse marketing, DAM, web-to-print services, print management, distribution and IT departments.
